Where there's smoke, there's fire

Cops, criminal prosecutors and folks who follow this website all know that child predators often turn out to be animal rapists too. So it should come as no surprise that one of the men who raped a nine-year-old boy in Central Pennsylvania was sharing his home with a dog rapist. While Craig Knox of Henrico County Virginia is behind bars awaiting trial for several child rape related charges, his former roommate Stephen Taylor was just sentenced to 20 months with work release for sexually assaulting several Rottweilers.

Virginians probably don’t know how good they have it. Bestiality is a felony offense in the Old Dominion, whereas here in the Bluegrass State it’s not even a crime. And while Taylor’s sentence is a slap on the wrist, at least it allows time for people in neighboring communities to form a more complete picture of Taylor’s offense and how it may relate to violence against vulnerable people.

Knox had an accomplice when he raped that child. In August 2017, David Parker pled guilty to sex trafficking a minor. In this case, Knox and Parker getting busted triggered the investigation that led to Taylor’s arrest and conviction. It could just as easily have gone the other way around. Had Taylor been busted first, the child rapists would have been caught in the resulting dragnet. That’s because cops and prosecutors know that animal rapists and child predators are like smoke and fire. When you find one, the other is not far away.
